AMOSS (Akhila Malankara Orthodox Shusrushaka Sangham) is the official spiritual organisation dedicated to training, guiding, and supporting altar servers within the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church.

The Acolytes Ministry of our parish is a devoted body of young faithful called to serve in the Holy Sanctuary during the liturgical services of the church,the ministry assists clergy during the Holy Qurbana,sacramental celebrations,and ecclesiastical services with reverence,discipline,and spiritual commitment.

OCYM (Orthodox Christian Youth Movement) is the official youth wing of the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church, dedicated to nurturing the spiritual growth, fellowship, and leadership of Orthodox Christian youth through prayer, worship, service, and active participation in Church life.

The youth movement of our church has been active since the establishment of the St Mary’s congregation in October,2023. From the very beginning, the youth have played a vibrant role in the spiritual, social, and cultural activities of the parish. After the congregation was elevated to the status of a church in the following year, the youth continued their dedicated service with greater enthusiasm and commitment. Guided by the values of the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church, our OCYM actively participates in:

- Family get-togethers and fellowship gatherings

- Food festivals and harvest festivals

- Christmas celebrations and carol services

- Prayer meetings and spiritual activities

- Charity and outreach programs

- Visiting and supporting sick members

- Helping people in need

- Youth leadership

- Cultural and parish events

- Representing our church in different ways( conferences,competition,programs)

The Marth Mariam Vanitha Samajam (MMVS) is the women’s organisation of the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church named after the blessed virgin Mary whom we accepted as interceding saint. It is dedicated to the spiritual growth, fellowship, and service of women within the Church.

OUR GOALS

The Marth Mariam Vanitha Samajam (MMVS) wing of our church, functioning since its inception by the grace of God. The unit has grown steadily in spiritual life and service, making valuable contributions to parish activities. Through prayer meetings, Bible studies, charitable activities, MMVS plays a vital role in strengthening parish life and supporting families. The organisation encourages women to deepen their faith, participate actively in church ministries, and contribute to social welfare initiatives guided by Christian values.

ACTIVITIES

- Prayer meetings are held on the First Sunday of every month after Holy Qurbana under the leadership of the vicar.

- Each meeting begins with a song and prayer, followed by a short Bible study led by a volunteer on any topic of interest, followed by group discussion and reflection.

- The gathering ends with a thanksgiving prayer and offertory, expressing gratitude and unity in faith.

- The MMVS also actively participates in diocesan-level conferences

- Started undertaking various fundraising activities in support of church and charitable initiatives

- Participate in different church activities actively.

The Orthodox Syrian Sunday School Association of the East – UK-Europe and Africa (OSSAE-UEA) is a spiritual organization functioning within the Diocese of UK-Europe and Africa. It’s objective is to nurture children to gain fundamental knowledge of the Orthodox Christian faith and tradition as well as Biblical knowledge for their spiritual growth.

The aim of spiritually nurturing the younger generation. Since its inception, it has grown steadily and now includes classes from Nursery up to 10th standard. At present, around 70 children are enrolled and actively participating in the classes and we have 22 teachers to guide and teach our young generations.Each class is supported by two dedicated teachers who help guide, teach, and care for the students, ensuring consistent attention and spiritual development across all age groups.

Sunday school classes are held regularly.Sunday school classes begin with general assembly which includes liturgical and devotional songs,discussion of Gospel reading.Sunday school follows lessons as per curriculum

First Sunday of the month- 01:00PM to 02:00PM (Before Holy Qurbana)

Second and fourth saturdary- 12:30PM to 13:30PM (After Holy Qurbana)
